Over his career, Mr. Jacobs has lived out his conviction that Architecture is a collaboration between Architect and Client and contractor with the goal to unearth the vision and solutions that most effectively meet the client’s needs; at the same time enhancing the local context in a positive and respectful manor.

While attending The University of Texas in Austin Mr. Jacobs traveled to Oxford, England and Paris, France for an intensive summer long City and Urban Planning workshop. His love of photography led Mr. Jacobs to participate in an extensive photography workshop thru Rhode Island School of Design located on Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts. He spent 8 months as a student intern working for a notable Boston Architectural firm. Additionally he has traveled to Mexico, Canada, Turkey, Greece, England, Spain, Germany and France in search of new design ideas and inspirations.

After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987, Mr. Jacobs has lived and worked in Boston, Honolulu, San Antonio, Austin and now Houston, Texas where he has made his home since 1995. In addition to practicing Architecture, Mr. Jacobs is involved in architectural education. He has taught design at the Boston Architectural Center and at the central campus of San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas.

He is a proven leader in design and project management. Mr. Jacobs has the knack for finding unique and practical solutions to complex design challenges. His record of accomplishment in setting and maintaining schedules sets him apart from many of his peers. In addition, he has a hands on approach with each client, meaning that he stays involved in each project from conception to completion.
